Bungard CCD2 MTC PCB Milling CNC

The Bungard CCD2 MTC is a precision CNC milling machine for prototyping printed circuit boards (PCBs), with a working area of 270 x 325 x 38 mm, a high-speed spindle running from 5,000 to 63,000 RPM, and positioning accuracy of 3.2 µm. Tool changes are semi-automatic (MTC): the software pauses the job and the operator swaps the tool by hand. The machine is controlled with Bungard's RoutePro3000 software, which processes drill and milling data generated from your PCB design files. At Aalto Fablab, the machine is set up with two tools: a 60° V-bit for isolation routing, which cuts copper traces and pads directly from the design without etching chemicals, and a 0.8 mm router bit for drilling holes and cutting out the finished board outline.
