It's designed to sandwich in between the camera and a V-mount battery, and to remain attached at all times, ready to provide the necessary power whenever you need to swap batteries, and it begins recharging as soon as you swap in a new battery. Moreover, it also offers a P-Tap port for powering an accessory. A RED QUICKPLATE (sold separately) is required in order to attach to the camera. One side of the adapter features a mounting pattern for the QUICKPLATE and the other side has a V-mount battery interface. An AC/DC charging unit is also included for standalone charging. Data communication is supported from attached batteries to your camera for all batteries that use the BLUESHAPE protocol.
