A very good recorder even for demanding work. Our unit comes in a suitable bag with two V-lock batteries that allow you to spend a whole week in a forest recording. Firmware has been updated to 5.0 and Bluetooth extension is installed. Also available is an iPad mini with F8 Control app which lets you control almost everything on a bigger screen. Two SD card slots with support up to 512GB. Records BWF/iXML WAV up to 8 channels at 192kHz 24-bit, or two channel mp3 at 320kbps 48KHz with ID3v1 tagging. Zoom F8 can be used as an USB audio interface in either stereo or multichannel modes. Use of multichannel mode is recommended since it enables the 24-bit word length not available in stereo mode.
