Canon C300 Mark II
Book a suitable Canon EF-mount lens separately. A high quality medium size video camera from Canon's Cinema line with a Super 35mm CMOS sensor. Capable of shooting YCC 4:2:2 10-bit 4K footage at 30 fps. Lower resolutions can be shot up to 120 fps. Additionally 2048x1080 and 1920x1080 resolutions can be shot in RGB 4:4:4 at 24 to 30 fps. The camera records in MPEG-4 XF-AVC format, however, RAW footage can be recorded via external recorders like the or Atomos Shogun. The camera itself has 2 CFast card slots and 1 SD card slot. There's 2 audio channels via XLR, one 3.5mm microphone jack and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The camera has a built-in EVF but also comes with a top mountable articulated 4" LCD panel. The software allows manual control over everything; white balance, ND filters, shutter angle/speed, ISO/Gain, audio and playback. Built-in are also the standard exposure and focus aids; Peaking, zebra, magnification, edge monitor focus assist, B&W mode, waveform, histogram etc. Overall very versatile and robust camera for larger productions like short films or documentaries. The color rendition and light handling is excellent creating a very pleasant filmic look. The Canon LOG profiles and 14 stop dynamic range results in a very clean and detailed image that allows a lot of headroom for editing.
